Philadelphia’s top female chefs have joined forces to host the Sisters’ Love Sunday dinner to raise funds and raise awareness for abuse survivors.

The Sisterly Love Collaborative is hosting receptions and dinners to raise funds for abuse survivors and showcase some of Philadelphia's most accomplished female chefs.

Sisterly Love Sunday Supper hosts a cocktail reception and four-course dinner at Cherry Street Pier on Sunday. It will be co-hosted by James Beard award-winning author and chef Lisa Donovan.

During the dinner, Donovan will read her memoir "The Hungry Mother forever" on the spot, discussing her experience as a survivor of abuse.

The event will benefit the non-profit organization Women’s Anti-Abuse, which provides services to people who suffer from intimate partner violence and raises awareness of domestic violence. As part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the organization is focusing on immigrant women who have suffered domestic abuse.

The evening will start at 4pm with a cocktail party, followed by a four-course seated dinner at 6:15pm, serving home-style desserts. The reception and dinner will provide dishes from more than 20 chefs and restaurant owners.

They include Spice Finch co-founder Jenn Carroll, Kalaya chef Nok Sunaraton and High Street Philly's Christina Mckeough.

Guests who are invited to the seated dinner party bring a piece of agricultural products and place it in the center of the table. Donovan will choose a winner. Afterwards, all the centerpieces will be donated to the pantry.

Tickets for the cocktail party are US$150 per person, and tickets for the cocktail party and seated dinner are US$300. All guests must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
